Courts

When The Supreme Court is sitting, members of the public are welcome to watch the Justices at work.

The court rooms have been specially designed for their purpose: discussing important points of law in the atmosphere of a learned seminar, rather than the adversarial environment of many other courts.

As a visitor, you can stand behind the glass screen at the back of Court 2 to watch proceedings, or take a seat behind the lawyers in any court room where a case is being heard.

These are the only courts in the United Kingdom where every case is filmed, and visitors can watch proceedings live on screens in the exhibition area when the court is in session.
